Clipboard Health exists to lift as many people up the socioeconomic ladder as possible; we want people to do better, to have more control over their careers, and to be able to build schedules that work for themselves and their families.
Everything we do is in pursuit of this goal. When we decide how to spend our time, it’s by looking to see what will help the most healthcare professionals in ways that more profoundly impact their lives for the better.
Clipboard Health is growing fast. When we say fast, we don’t just mean a healthy rate; we’ve experienced 25x growth over an 18-month period. We went from seed stage to a Series C Unicorn valuation in under five years. We mean “growing fast” in a way much closer to how you might describe an explosion.
The reason we were able to do this is clear: our product makes a real difference in people’s lives. It’s needed, it’s beneficial, and It makes the world a little better every day for healthcare professionals, healthcare facilities, and the patients they serve.

How I started Clipboard Health | Artifact
Wei Deng, Clipboard Health's founder and CEO, talks about how resilience and openness to change made her company what it is today. Clipboard Health is going strong after more than 50 venture investors told her "no," and it is these same qualities she wants her team to own as the company takes it to another level.
Bo Lu is currently the COO of Clipboard Health. Prior to Clipboard Health, Bo co-founded and served as the CEO of FutureAdvisor, an industry leader in digital wealth management.
Bo participated in the prestigious Y Combinator incubator program in spring 2010, and after graduation successfully raised multiple rounds of funding and grew the company to millions of dollars in AUM only months after launch. In 2015, BlackRock acquired FutureAdvisor for $150M, and Bo ran it as a business unit within BlackRock Solutions (BRS) for an additional four years.
After BlackRock, Bo served as a Y Combinator Partner advising various startups before joining Clipboard Health as COO.

Clipboard Health Announces $80 Million in Funding at a $1.3 Billion Valuation
Six years ago, I started Clipboard Health with the idea of helping people move up the socio-economic ladder. I walked that path with my parents when I was young, as an immigrant building a new life in the United States, and I wanted to make sure it stayed open for anyone ready to work hard to achieve their goals.
Our investors include Sequoia, IVP, Caffeinated Capital; Initialized Capital; Michael Seibel, managing director of Y Combinator’s early-stage program; Y Combinator itself; Tony Xu, co-founder of DoorDash; Emmett Shear, CEO of Twitch; SciFi VC; MasterClass CEO David Rogier; and angel investors Gokul Rajaram and Elad Gil.
Ycombinator Top 100 Company
Clipboard Health has been named a Ycombinator Top 100 company 2 years in a row now! We’re honored to be featured here and look forward to continuing our mission of helping nurses and the medical industry at large.
